Prosper Chitambara - Research Think Tank in Zimbabwe

Prosper Chitambara is a holder of a PhD (Economics) from the Wits. University, a Master of Science (Development Economics) from the University of Birmingham (England) and a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from the University of Zimbabwe. He also holds Diplomas in Banking (IOBZ) and Marketing (IMM) and an intermediate certificate with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe (ICSAZ). He has undertaken both academic and policy-oriented research, analysis and advocacy on macroeconomic issues, labour and employment issues, social protection, health, migration, industrialisation, economic and social rights, and sustainable development.

Prosper has published academic papers in the African Development Review, the Journal of African Trade, the Journal of Developing Areas and International Migration. He has participated in conferences at local, regional and international levels. He has contributed many newspaper articles in the local press. He has also done commentaries for the BBC, VOA, China Global Television Network (CGTN), Al Jazeera, SABC, eNCA and the ZBC.
