Douglas Chiradza is an apprentice trained electrical artisan with over 22 years of experience working in the electrical engineering sector with 18 years as a transmission and distribution supervisor and currently he is the Mutare Environs Depot Foreman for ZETDC. He has also attained a Telecommunication Honours degree with the Midlands State University in 2019 and reading for a Master’s degree in Renewable energy with the University of Zimbabwe.
He has also done Paralegal training and was elected President of NEWUZ in the year 2020 and assumed the post of Treasurer General of the ZCTU in 2021. He also sits on the ZESA Pension fund board, the Zimbabwe Energy Industry Pension Fund board and LEDRIZ board. He is married with 6 children.
